Information About SVA Conquerors
Background
Southwest Virginia Academy is an interdenominational Christian sports organization that was created in the fall of 2000 to provide opportunities for homeschool student-athletes to compete on a competitive interscholastic level.
What is Our Goal?
The Conquerors are committed to glorifying Jesus Christ in all that we do as a Christian sports organization. Our theme verse, Romans 8:37, is not to be understood and applied to sports-related conquering of other teams in competition. Instead, the Conquerors program believes that through Jesus Christ and His work alone, believers are able to conquer and have victory over sin and death. Thus, believers can then live each moment with the goal of conquering sin and pursuing Christ with excellence in every area of life.
Who is Eligible?
Depending on the age group, athletes must meet certain eligibility criteria. Visit the Player Eligibility page to learn more.
How Much of a Commitment Is It?
Because we are an interscholastic program, the average time commitment for student-athletes per sport is approximately 2 hours per day, 4 nights per week for the duration of the particular sports season, plus travel time.
