Conquerors Coaches
The Conquerors are committed to upholding a high standard for all individuals in the program, especially coaches.
COACHING REQUIREMENTS
- All coaches for SVA must have an active and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- All coaches for SVA must be active members in good standing at a local Christian church.
- All coaches for SVA must provide current character references that can attest to their Christian character.
- All coaches for SVA must pass a criminal background check.
What Do I Have to Do to Be a Coach?
Below are two files that must be filled out completely to be considered for any coaching opportunities the Conquerors may have.

The first form is a screening form that explains in detail the standards we have set for our coaching staff.
It is of utmost importance to the Conquerors that a coach's application is entirely filled out with detail - especially as it relates to the section about a personal relationship with Jesus. SVA desires to ensure that every coach can and will clearly explain the gospel of Jesus Christ, how it has and continues to transform their personal life, and how it will affect their coaching of each SVA student-athlete.

The second form is a consent to perform a standard background check.
The Conquerors take seriously the safety and well-being of players and everyone involved in the organization. Because of this, a standard background check is required for any person who may desire to be a coach for SVA.

Why Are These The Requirements?
Coaches are those who set the expectations, tone, and example for players, fans, referees, and anyone involved in SVA Athletics. Therefore, SVA coaches are held to a high standard of upright conduct and character.
Sports are a secondary goal for the Conquerors, as our primary goal and desire is to see the home-school athlete come to know Jesus Christ personally and learn to live a faithful and persevering life for Him. Thus, since SVA coaches will be the ones training up each student-athlete in the truth of the gospel of Jesus, potential coaches are required to be active members, not just attendees, at a local church. The coaching form ensures that potential SVA coaches can deeply explain their own relationship with Christ.
