About SVA Volleyball
Conquerors Volleyball is committed to glorifying Jesus Christ in all that we do.
In serving and training the homeschool student-athlete, the goal is not merely to train for physical skill and endurance, but rather, to train each student-athlete to learn to pursue excellence in all things with an attitude that recognizes the greatest purpose of honoring Jesus Christ in every area of life.

What to Know
Tryouts
- Based on the number of players interested, evaluation practices will be held to determine team selections and practice squads.
- Pre-season practices and evaluations begin in late July.
- Regular season practices start at the beginning of August
When and Where Are Practices?
- Each team will practice on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays at Penn Forest Christian Church (3028 Penn Forest Blvd, Cave Spring, VA 24018).
- Exact practice times for each team are decided each season depending on numerous factors.
Who Do We Play?
- Most of our opponents are other Homeschooled Teams, Private Schools, Public Schools, and Travel Teams.
- We will also play in homeschool tournaments and invitationals as they are presented, such as the Gatlinburg HSPN Tournament or the VHSAA State Tournament.
Important to Consider
All players accepting a position this Fall are required to be available to travel to tournaments unless advance approval (prior to the season) has been given. It is also expected that players attend all practices and games. We understand that family and church obligations arise, as well as illness. Besides illness or unpredictable last-minute situations, ample advance notice must be given to the head coach for any missed practices or games.
Volleyball Camp
Before the season begins each year, the Conquerors host a volleyball camp for a week. Camp is at Penn Forest Christian Church (3028 Penn Forest Blvd, Cave Spring, VA 24018).
Although camp is not required, this serves as a great time of team bonding, a chance to strengthen skills, and an opportunity for coaches to begin to evaluate players.
